Dr. Alpha Mahmoud Barry joins AFG as Program Manager!

Dr. Alpha BarryWe are thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Barry to the AFG family. A medical doctor with master degrees in epidemiology and health service administration and policy from the universities of Oklahoma and Montreal respectively, he is an invaluable asset to our efforts to help improve Guinea’s health care system. In the short time since he came on board, he has already radically enhanced communication and collaboration between Houston headquarters, our Conakry office and our partners.

    Our primary goal is to assist hospitals and health centers in Guinea who care for the welfare of the Guinean population. We do this by providing medical aid, improving and upgrading existing infrastructure in health facilities and implementing disease prevention and treatment programs.

    We also aim to improve the overall quality of life of the population by supporting and promoting economic growth and technical development.
